I'm known as Mik, the bank even accepts cheques made out to Mik. My official name is Michael Clayton, and I was called that as a child.

I'm 71, and live in the middle of France. See our roof near the top left, it has a strip of zinc across the apex instead of ridge tiles. I'll put on here what I can remember of our family history and also what I can remember being told by those before us.

I must say, I never noticed that strip of zinc across the top of the roof though !
